并不是更喜欢去莫纳什，而是这两所学校的分数线差得很多。本地人上墨尔本大学竞争是很激烈的，但是对于留学生来说，申请墨尔本大学并不是遥不可及的。留学生申请澳洲大学，只需要均分和英语成绩，虽然墨尔本大学要求比较多，但也不是说很难达到。

就好像我们中国学生，考全国TOP5的学校很难，但是外国学生申请我们国家这些TOP5的学校并不是很难，虽然也有一点门槛。

墨大每个专业都有自己的花式录取标准：有分C9/Tier1, 有分985/211；有些只看专业课，有些看最后两年；有些看GRE/GMAT/LSAT /TACT，有些只要PS。

墨尔本硕士花式录取：各专业申请特点：

• 商学院对C9比较Friendly：80的均分要求比ANU低，跟悉尼大学持平。
• 不收双非的专业：Marketing Communication等，竞争低，Offer快。
• 英国本科院校属于Russell Group的，录取标准也较低。
• 托福/PTE收得低：去墨尔本大学的真心不建议啃雅思。
• 院系分开审核：Technically你可以同时拿两个Offer。Preference里面建议填两个不同系的专业，这样被录取的几率高。
• 申请速度快的Faculty：IT(包括Information System)，建筑(拒得也快)，其次Engineering。考虑到墨尔本大学的申请速度，建议尽可能在Preference里面填一个快的系，比如IT下面的IS就跟商科比较沾边，也有机会通过ACS评估移民。
• IT不仅快要求还低：只要学过一门Programming就行，一门都没有的还可以走Information System。C9-80%，其他985-85%，211-90%，双非-不接受申请。
• Teaching巨慢：需要做TACT, 做不好会被拒。

虽然墨尔本大学的录取要求相对于其他澳洲大学来说比较多，但也不算特别难，而且很多专业只需要均分和英语成绩。

墨尔本大学本科申请不接受中国高考成绩，所以进入墨尔本大学只能通过其预科，或者本转本，但是其预科的申请要求也不算高。

本科录取

1.墨大预科：通过Trinity College(三一学院) Foundation Program进入墨大本科。录取要求：完成高二，最好五门成绩均分超过80%，雅思5.5，单项不低于5，或同等水平。

2.本科直录：墨大不接受中国高考直接申请，本科直录需要完成至少一年以上的大学本科方可申请。录取标准：

• 专业方面选择较少，常见的工程、法律、教育、建筑等专业均不开设本科课程；
• 如果部分课程在国内已经学过，可以申请学分减免；
• 英文要求：雅思6.5，单项不低于6或同等水平的托福/PTE；未达标的同学可以通过语言直升班UMELBP入读。
